Product Description
Anahit was Armenia's supreme goddess — protector of the land, embodiment of wisdom and healing. Temples stood across ancient Armenia in her name. Kings invoked her before battle. When Armenia converted to Christianity in 301 AD, the temples were destroyed and the gold statues melted down. One surviving fragment of her likeness is now in the British Museum. What they couldn't erase was the idea she represented: that something can protect a people across centuries even after everything built in its honor is gone.
Archive II — because she was the counterweight to the warrior. Anahit wasn't invoked for conquest. She was invoked for what comes after: the wisdom to know what is worth protecting and what must be let go. The temples are gone. The gold statues were melted. The question she embodied is still the one we ask. She is still Archive II.
