This design honors Garegin Nzhdeh, the Armenian military leader, philosopher, and defender of Syunik whose name became inseparable from the mountains he fought to preserve. At the center stands Nzhdeh himself. To one side, the rugged silhouette of Khustup Mountain rises from the landscape of Syunik. Embedded within the mountain are fragments of historical Armenian text, symbolizing the memory, sacrifice, and ideas that outlive generations. The phrase “Will As Law” reflects one of the defining themes of Nzhdeh’s life: the belief that strength of character, duty, and unwavering resolve shape the destiny of a people.
