Product Description
In Armenian, AZG means nation. It also means people — because in the Armenian language, the two are the same word. A nation is not a territory. It is a people that knows what it is. When Mesrop Mashtots created the alphabet in 405 AD, he didn't just give Armenians a writing system. He gave the nation a way to carry itself — through diaspora, displacement, and every century that followed without a state to call its own.
"Permanence" in gothic script at the top. Beneath it, 405 AD in red — the year. Then AZG, rendered in heavy gold blackletter, a cross embedded within the letterforms — nation and faith fused into a single form. "ST. MESROP MASHTOTS" below, like an attribution. The design treats the alphabet not as history but as authorship: someone built this, it lasted, here is his name.
