Vishap & Castle Armenian carpets often carry their stories through geometry. Animals, architecture, protective forms, and repeated shapes are reduced into angular patterns that become part of the carpet itself. Vishap & Castle draws from that visual tradition. The central embroidery combines the vishap, or dragon, with a stylized castle form, constructed through the triangular and angular geometry commonly associated with Armenian carpet motifs. The elements are not illustrated literally. They are compressed, mirrored, and interlocked into a single symmetrical mark—allowing the image to function first as ornament and then reveal its symbolism on closer inspection. A small Hayk Heritage monogram sits separately from the main motif as a restrained maker's mark. The result carries Armenian identity without needing to spell it out: heritage expressed through pattern, geometry, and symbol.
